A safe and healthy community for all.
For the last 20 years, Squamish Helping Hands has been dedicated to supporting our community through transitional housing, food programs, and outreach initiatives. However, it hasn’t been just us who have made it all possible. It is YOU, our community, who have helped pave the way for connection and grounded support. Through your volunteering, donations, neighbourly compassion, and understanding, we have been able to work toward our shared goal of keeping our community safe and healthy for all over the past 20 years. This is something we want to celebrate and share with you.
Once you arrive, our team will take you on a guided tour of our building including our frontline and outreach workspaces, participant living areas, food bank, kitchen, laundry, Overdose Prevention Site (OPS), and more. You’ll have the opportunity to see what happens behind the scenes, ask questions, and learn more about how Squamish Helping Hands works alongside and supports our community.
But wait, there’s more! After your guided tour, we welcome you to join us for Happy Hour and the launch of Squamish Helping Hops, a hazy pale ale brewed by our partners at the Howe Sound Brew Pub in celebration of our 20th Anniversary. We will be sharing some words about the last 20 years, the community that helped us get there, and what is in store for our future over some delicious snacks and a variety of beverages.
Whether you have supported us for years, worked alongside us, or are new to the community, we’d love to have you join us.
