Site Supervisor - (Casual)

Under the direction of the Housing Manager, the Site Supervisor plans, develops, implements and assists the manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of the various services of Squamish Helping Hands including housing, outreach & peer witness programs, participant care and case management, staff training and community resources.

Participant Support Worker - Front Line (Part-time)

Participant Support Workers at Squamish Helping Hands Society form the core team that provides support, information, crisis intervention, and ensures the safety of program participants. P.S. Workers employ best practices to reduce harm associated with substance use and engage with individuals to inform, refer, and support participants. Workers use a non-judgmental trauma-informed approach to enhance the knowledge, skills, resources and supports for individuals to be safer and healthier.

Outreach Team (On-Call Part-Time)

All IPCR workers at Squamish Helping Hands form a core team that provides support, information, crisis intervention, and ensures the safety of program participants at Under One Roof. IPCR Workers employ best practices to reduce harm associated with substance use and engage with individuals to inform, refer, and support. Workers use a non-judgmental trauma-informed approach to enhance the knowledge, skills, resources and supports for individuals to be safer and healthier.

Building Janitor/Maintenance Worker

Under the Operations and Enterprise Manager the Building Maintenance Worker performs routine patrols of Under one Roof to ensure safety and order.

The Building Maintenance Worker is responsible for following the maintenance plan for the building and performing basic preventative maintenance or ensuring preventive maintenance and inspections are carried out on schedule by licensed contractors. The Building Maintenance worker responds to damage and making or arranging for necessary repairs in a timely fashion. The ideal candidate not only has experience in building operations and general maintenance and repairs but possesses the ability to community well with others using a trauma-informed and compassionate harm-reduction approach.

Residential Cleaner

The Residential Cleaning team work along with the participants in the transitionary residences to ensure an acceptable level of cleanliness and care. The residential leaning team reports to the Director of Operations. This position supports the cleaning programs set-up by the Integrated Participant Care and Resource (IPCR) team in collaboration with residents. Organizational skills are key to this role as the Residential Cleaning team provide cleaning guidance to the residents and work alongside participants as they clean and organize their rooms.

Community Partnership & Fundraiser Manager

As the Community Partnerships & Fundraising Manager, you will work closely with the ED, Board, and Leadership team to seek partnerships and fundraising opportunities, with the goal of inspiring community members, organizations, and potential partners and funders to be curious about Squamish Helping Hands Society (SHHS). This role requires an experienced and motivated fundraising professional who can work independently, and carry out planning, development, and implementation of projects and activities designed to increase fundraising opportunities, and build strategic relationships which may lead to partnerships. In addition to identifying and connecting with prospects, this role will look at diversification opportunities, collect and analyze data related to efforts and impact, engage in grant writing and donor relations, as well as working with budgets.

Executive Assistant/People & Inclusion Coordinator

This is an administrative role supporting the senior leadership team (Executive Director, Director of Finance, and Director of Operations) in managing aspects of the people & inclusion operations, and acts as their right hand. This role coordinates and carries out administrative tasks to ensures the day-to-day people & inclusion functions are running smoothly, as well as provides direct support to the senior leadership team on administrative items to enable them to focus on high level priorities. As a main contact point, this role will triage inquiries and liaise with leaders, employees, and external consultants to ensure the right information gets to the right people.

This position will support the executive team, and as such will have access to confidential information, and therefore the utmost discretion and professionalism is required. In addition to a passion for our mission, vision, and values, this role requires exceptional customer service, discernment, business acumen, and advanced skills in Microsoft Office. This position reports to the Executive Director.
