In the past 12 months, 52,633 school breakfasts and lunches were distributed to seven schools throughout the Sea to Sky Corridor.
Each instructional day, SHHS staff and volunteers prepare enough breakfasts, lunches, and snacks for children in need. The food is separated into boxes and picked up by volunteers from each school and made available to children throughout the day.
Food4Kids provides a low barrier option for children who wouldn’t ordinarily have access to nutritious food. Providing daily nutrition to school children enables them to concentrate and increases their ability to learn, creating better learning outcomes and better classroom environments.
There is no cost to the parents or the schools to deliver this program.
