Open Door Health Primary Care Clinic

Open Door Health is a primary care clinic providing people who are homeless, at-risk of homelessness, using substances, experiencing pain and or mental health challenges with access to the care of a physician right on site at the Under One Roof facility.

Local physicians hold clinic hours 2-3 half days a week to provide primary health care to vulnerable individuals who do not have a family physician or who experience barriers in accessing a family physician, including shame, feeling unsafe, or feeling distrust of the health care system.

Open Door Health compliments many other programs and supports available in the community, including the Squamish Pain Program, Squamish Mental Health and Addictions Services through Vancouver Coastal Health, the Squamish Overdose Prevention Site to support people experiencing mental health and/or addictions challenges and other barriers to care such as homelessness.

The program is possible thanks to the generosity of local physicians Dr. Melissa Aragon, who is the medical director for the clinic, Dr. Alan Bohn, Dr. John Guilfoyle, and the wisdom, support and guidance of Sea to Sky Divisions of Family Practice.
