Brook Foster

My connection to SHHS began with volunteering at the Food Bank, before serving as treasurer on the Food Bank’s board, and from there becoming a board member for SHHS.

I came from an educational background in food, nutrition and health, as well as accounting, and have an interest in food as a form of connection to community and the land.

Squamish has been home for more than 10 years, and this work for me comes down to care for my community— I believe everyone deserves a safe home, and a sense of belonging. I have found my belonging in Squamish, and in being part of SHHS I hope to pass on some of my luck and privilege in life. By day, I work as a bookkeeper and accountant, and you can find me with my friends outside, climbing, skiing, mountain biking or just soaking up the forest.
