Squamish Weekly Food Hamper Program
Squamish Helping Hands and the Squamish Food Bank are joining forces to respond to growing food insecurity during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Starting April 20, 2020, FREE weekly Food Hampers will be delivered to those in need.
Families and individuals in need are invited to complete the form to sign up for the program.
What you need to know:
Hampers will contain both perishable and non-perishable food items and supplies.
Hampers can be delivered to your home by volunteers or picked up from the Firehouse Shelter at 37930 Third Avenue, behind the Squamish Public Library.
Hamper contents depend somewhat on what food items are donated and rescued and what is available for purchase, but we aim to provide items such as: rice, cereal, milk, eggs, fresh fruit, carrots, potatos, peanut butter, tuna, beans etc. Pet food is also available.
Please note the following:
- Hamper delivery/pick-up days will be determined on the area of town in which you live
- Hampers will generally be delivered between 1 and 3 pm
- You must be home to accept your hamper or it will be returned to Helping Hands for pick up.
- Special requests will be included in your hamper based on availability of items, you may not always receive your request.
