Updates from the Gardens
Farrah Schwab, our new Garden Program Coordinator is creating amazing and beautiful garden boxes.
We have new garden boxes at Under One Roof.
Thanks to the Men's Shed and Blue Water Concepts we refurbished and rebuilt some of our garden boxes at the Firehall Gardens too!
Be a Garden Volunteer!
We currently need volunteers to help on the weekends. Shifts options are: Saturday mornings, Saturday afternoons, Sunday morning, and Sunday afternoons.

Our Firehall Gardens are beginning to flourish! Interest in the gardens is growing as our seedling take root.
Squamish CAN donated 4 additional garden beds to Squamish Helping Hands in the Community Gardens downtown. We worked hard on these beds and found old potatoes, black fennel, and a lot of kale seed. On seeing our work, community members gifted us more seed-potatoes too!
We are grateful to GFL for their donation of soil to build and augment our garden boxes.
Over at Under One Roof, we have 4 kitchen garden beds where we are growing herbs and vegetables just outside the pantry door! Residents will help care for the gardens and the produce will flow directly into our kitchen where Chef Venita and her team create delicious homemade meals.
